U.S. Olympic Committee Hosts “The Science of Sport” Exhibition

Colorado Springs, Colo., - The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) proudly announces an interactive sports science and technology exhibition at the U.S. Olympic Complex, Visitor Center. Guests at the Complex are invited to participate in a series of simple strength and conditioning activities and learn about science and technology as it relates to elite level sport.

Technological measurements of resting heart rate, upper-body strength, hang-time strength (jump force) and kick speed are featured as a part of the exhibition activities. Visitors can compare their ability scores to those of the general population and elite athletes.

The Science of Sport exhibition is located at the U.S. Olympic Complex at 1750 E. Boulder (in the Visitor Center). Exhibition hours are Monday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The free exhibit is open to the public and will run through August 22.

The exhibit is sponsored by PASCO, located in Roseville, Calif., a world leader in the development and production of high-quality, technology-based science education solutions.
